Musings Of The Summertide

Musings Of The Summertide

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Just two and a half months to our day
I can feel the summer air
As revelations of my defining moments
the truth fallen like leaves in autumn.

The golden odor of our hearts
soaking us in sun splendor
raising us from the cold places
pouring sparkles of passion into us.

My life flows in little blissful rains
The woes and clouds that creep,
which makes our echoes fade
Yet I share some bravery with you.

So lucid with your youthful form
Bursting in maturity of every word you say
the innocence of your ethereal voice,
the meaning of life, hidden in your smile

In our pale imperfect light, I relive destiny
desiring the eternal summers
and your infinite brightness
that shall hold us till we close our heavy eyes.
