My Fulgent days

My Fulgent days

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Image

I followed clouds over opulent heights
tides over the blue vaults
walking barefooted over grass fields
feet blended with mud streams.

Trying to float in narrow creeks
in birthplaces of my evolution
stained with fiery passions
joyous desires burning beneath.

I feel the iridescent blessings of my gods
for eternity of transcendental spirit,
Smooth like the skin of the earth
Red as the evening winds.

I have lingered,soaked like a uncertain flower
Wet with the fruition of night sky
Mornings filled with enchanted silver
Blazing afternoons of golden graces.

Life met me in such a delusion
under scruple rains and lightning youth
where reverie met the reality
that stripped the other side of beauty.

I would love to take all your poems and compile them all together into one story, it would make fascinating reading.
The first stanza wets the sensual appetites pleasantly.
Second stanza turns one inwards to a searching contemplation.
Third stanza begins as witness but produces two beautiful descriptive ending lines.
Fourth stanza leaves me lost for words, just enjoying the gorgeous work.

Last stanza returns us to reality and shows the rocky road to the final summit.

As always...Superb.

This is lovely. Your poem contains such imagry...and then reality strips it of beauty...

Thank you mam for stopping by and reviewing this.. :)
Another masterclass of description and imagery. Again I would say that we are so different in both what we write about and subject matter, but I do enjoy your work.

What's good for one man is good for all and what's good for all is good for one man. It is an experience of opposites in the times experienced by the man but the outcome is the same. A nice poem that glides over possibilities.

thank you :)
Imagery here was the key...I could sense, feel, taste and hear the words as you wrote them, which is always a good thing. I like the expanse of your words...they feel big and bold to me. Well done.
