Can the enthralling past be our future?

Can the enthralling past be our future?

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Will those days knock at the door again?
When sun was the Air I breathed
and we were two strangers
staring each other like curious artists.

We had a shared innocence,
a coherent spirit that spoke to our heart
in a loneliness that we never tasted
We found mutuality in our poems.

In muse less terrain we lived before
scratching walls of our solitude
running hands through the sand
to prove our artistic blending.

Will those seasons come all over again?
Where I peeped into the gardens
of unknown escalations
This was the time I tasted June delights

It was time to choose a path of existence
on the Earth,to find the beautiful generosity
That had a name,had a smile
echoing the love of all that love has ever been.

I often fin myself trying to relive the past, but I think we need to just remember it fondly and the future will take care of itself. I like the feel of this. Well done.

I LIKE this...Some terrific lines and an honest message...We can relive our past simply by thinking.....

Such days do come and go all the time, but our mutual companions are today like demon horses who have forgotten the original purpose of what we are.
