Sonnet 7

Sonnet 7

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Where doth thou keepst thy heart?
Amongst voids lying in our fluey  way
Betwixt castles whence our love thwart
in sunburnt dearth of spring heyday.

To all thy beauty that doth bliss me,
And to thy hued charms bids my heart
Where in my spirit lives an image of thee
My thoughts of love thou canst share a part.

But heart mine dost embrace thee
Even though thy love, methinks wary
Thy thoughts but canst flee from me
thole I shalt,a heartbeat bleary.

Prithee to emboss me in thy bridewell
Durst to give thy heart,I wilt blend in hues and pastel.

I think that you have used this classical language very effectively,' practice makes perfect' as they say and you seem to be doing plenty of that!

Although I admire Shakespeare greatly, I find it too much hard work to sift. I am sorry to say the same happened to me here. I can see it will have appeal to those of that bent and I already know how good your work can be. Best I can do on this I'm afraid.

Not having much knowledge in Shakespearean writing, it's a bit hard for me to understand, but it sounds lovely
