I mourn thy absenceA Poem by Balkaran SidhuIn the arpeggios of perception In this world of my airy dreams A concerto of light less arrays I sigh for your departure My spirit mourns for your absence While the other chunks of my soul , celebrate In the false sense of enlightenment Of the heart, in a world saturated of treasures. My body aches for earthly pains So that my verses will be nourished I dream of the unfulfilled future And yearn more than anything And in the sweet everglade of my heart lives a memory and an image In blazing big-bangs of origins where orions are redefined phrases. I surrender to future desolations To salvage the eclipse of hope And lie enslaved, confined in the debacle glued to my early years of innocence.
