Rewriting verses for a damsel

Rewriting verses for a damsel

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Here I encrave another verse
of love and earthly feelings
Here is a prayer for you
over chronicles, flowing like reticence.

I write for your hesitant wings,
for infinite gravity in your smile,
for your honeyed vision of delicacy,
a divine image from mortal heaven.

I take words from universal script
Of all that can be known of
Of Beauty or of truth, of solitude
The words, pronounced and pure
flowing in the vessels of my soul.

I've written poems for you
To describe your mysterious bloom
Metaphors that linger in eternity
In the hearts of living things that crave
I thrive for salvation from my words.

This pome does not feel like on of those poems where, "I've written poems for you". This feel slike a poem for the self and to ease your mind more than to "tell" something to anouther...
I like this if I look at it that way.
