The haven of our musings

The haven of our musings

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

Whats yours and whats mine
I am far from those narrow things
I have never seen the walls of our separation.

I who write these unprofitable verses
They are not just mine, rather ours
they are our truths folded into silent music.

You say my words won't fly
Don't water those visionary thoughts
Am I just wasting my words?

Sometimes I smell those weary words
from the abyss of future longings
preaching in the gardens of my heart.

But I tend to share my musings
May be I shall pull them into my private asylum
and put them in bottles of omission.

Where in the parody of my passions
lie all the syntax of my passion
lies the adulation inside the ego of my sunsets.

You may not be able to fathom my rhymes,
my paintings of sonnets and odes
but they have immeasurable expense to me.

Okay i had to read this twice then again confirm the poet behind, that it's you. It's been a while since i was in WC and reading this comparing to your former writing, you've totally embraced poetry majestically. This is far more than a beautiful writing Balkaran. It's gentle with a soft frosty voice. I love it.

simple, sober and really a speaking write... i loved the whole... specially the ending...

a fab flow of a poet's feeling...

Gentle, and your diction suggests a passionate relationship so strong that it has gone numb; as much of your poetry is like.

Very nice. Poetry is something that does something for someone. Be it the reader or writer. ^_^ I enjoyed reading this!! :)

If a lover does not love the poetry from the heart of a poet... They will never know enough of the poet to love them back. Don't waste perls on a swine.
Loved the write. Great lament.

hi Bal, a haven for two especially one that may be between the King and the Divine is an endeavour to bring to experience in the world all that promises to be the joy of our revelations about ourselves. But should it be only for two?

Despite their best intentions about each other, they are forced to recognize the changes that come to divide them. But look to the King, I think he plans to bring it back to the way it was. In fact he may be doing it right now. An illuminating poem!
