As the new sun rises up....

A new year poem..... :)

Winter has touched me
with her winds etching onto my soul
a bliss to my entity.

 

I cherished those time’s triumphs
and all those little arcs of defeats
like peppermint delight falling from the sky.

 

The deep breath, never tasted so right.
For a new beginning,
a new quest to search my soul
And to forget the last years of my fools.

 

So I taste the beauty of a new dawn
In the royal company of my spirit
Rich as immortal blue, certain as life’s majesty!

 

In the contemporary world
I got lost sometimes
In some stupidity of my heart.

 

But my ecstasy is god,my life is sunlight

The nature fills every breath into my chest

And as the new sun rises up

I shall now bring some kindness
Some lovingness to my human race.

Just a few words...didn't had much time to say too much..somehow managed some moments to write this in my exam time!

I'd cut out "with" in the second line, place a comma at the end of the first. Each word must be important to the poem, otherwise cut it out :) I'd also take out "onto" in the second line.

Nice peppermint and then breath reference--just like inhaling after eating a good mint, the air is sharper and colder just like winter.

Wonderful! Almost...magical in a way.

I can really feel the sense of release portrayed here when you speak of a new year being a time to forget all of your mess-ups from last year. A clean slate. :)
