Into the OwlcityA Poem by Balkaran SidhuBeen trying to write this from quite a while..
I couldn't see in the daylight
my vision is suffocated by the sunny mist glared by the piercing sunlight, I search for the night's blist. My dreams soar across scattered hopes I watch the light settle down for the night As objects fade to black my once stagnant mind becomes bright. By now,I know to what I belong I am an inhabitant of city of the owls the one that is far away from this world somewhere in the silent woods. Some secret lure of time it seems I have been called to my place wasting to hunt a newer wasteland here I must now search a way to my space. And where the candlabra swung bright with the birds’ thousand eyes, now my black, hooded pupils stare, As the dryness of sun dries. And where the silk-shoed lovers ran with dust of gold in their hair I open my silent wing, and watch the night sky and the starry fair. And, like a stroke of doom, I ll drop down and swoop across my way with the wings of hopes outstretched I ll close my eyes and fly away. © 2012 Balkaran SidhuAuthor's Note
