One last time...

Another goodbye poem...

For one last time
let me roll my nails
through your unkempt hairs
and let me use my fingers
to tie them behind your ears.

For one last time
let me see your eyes
the unrevealed depth of them
Where all the beauty of the world lies.

For one last time
let me see what can make me glee
that bright crescent moon smile
as brilliant as the star- studded sky above me.

For one last time
let me say those words again
all that I have said you so many times
Echoed from my red lips
and through poems and rhymes.

For one last time
let me cry my heart out
Cause there will be no teardrops left thereafter
My heart shall die in this drought.

For one last time
say me that you too love me a bit
So that I can wait for you till you comeback
with my hopes and my spirit.

The fifth stanza in this for me was the best. It has that something special that gives poetry its feel.

this is so painfully expressed and acutely beautiful...had to read it three times, not because it was hard to understand...but because all the emotion you projected within was so familiar to me and i understood, too well, what you were saying.
