Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu
"

Lover's final words for her when she has to leave him....

"
In the starry night
I will be left alone
I wish you were my queen
And I was the king of our throne.

The feeling of being yours
I wish I had known
I would pick all my days with you
All other days of my life I would have blown.

For all those moments
Running through the sands of time
I would have skipped all my life
to see the day when you were mine.

My chest is wretched with pains now
Cause I have to say you goodbye
I don't love you anymore...!
To set you free,I shall lie.

My heart has starved for love
It will starve to meet you once again
I shall live for that day
hope my hopes will not go in vain.

So for the one last time
Under this sky turning black from blue
I fill my heart with my breath
And I say...'I love you'.

Well I think the title is a bit flippant for the seriousness of the poem. This is very good for as quickly as you wrote it. I love the line "My chest is wretched with pains".It convays so much feeling.
