For what I amA Poem by Balkaran Sidhu
Evolution made me who I am today
Just a bard for myself My body was born pure And I grew up under the divinity of my mother and my sister's prayers made me stronger And I didn't let die myself in this mean world Once I drowned,I resurged and from my heart, I rooted out hatred From my lungs, I traced the almighty From my soul, I wrote about love With my lively spirit I slayed my selfishness Then love, filled the voids of my soul I achieved enlightenment in youth I lived for others, died needlessly And at every turn I was tested my faithfulness, devotion were put to test My tears were not priceless they have been of no price My sweat drenched clothes defines my passion for life With truth I built the trust which was shattered in the winds of doubt But the thought of my bones turning into ashes brings a smile on my face cause thats when they will know...who was I.. © 2012 Balkaran SidhuAuthor's Note
