I just forgot how

I just forgot how

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

You tell me to forget you
to finally move on
cause you think this love thing isn't something pure
its bad and its only wrong.

I should see your point
because for me,you are always right
so I decide to bury
your memory
my love shall die this night.

I already have tried burning it,
burying it, throwing it away
tried Ripping it, thrashing it
yet,it keeps growing day by day

But now I will summon all that I have
Hopefully this love dies
No worrying,no missing from now on
no cloudless rain from my eyes.

I am ready to leave my feelings,
my thoughts of you,behind
I want to be a heartless man
leaving you helplessly confined.

Throwing away all the feelings,
the pains I will erase
I will wrap my body in my own self
after putting on my brave face.

So as I am going to bed
With all my heart,am praying for you
It would be the last time,
coming morning I will be through

Oh here I am,its morning
your presence still lurks
I've done all I know how to do
it seems nothing works.

I know my love is eternal
there is no way to kill it now
I didn't forget to forget you,
I just forgot how....

liked the last line the best.to be honest, this piece felt bleak after i read your"colorless rainbow".perhaps i can feel the emotions what others felt after undergoing the real thing in life....though i hope i'll be spared the pain of heartbreaks. this one felt more like a modern sad song ya know,i could hear melancholic guitar beats in the background.

I agree with the other comments! This is a fabulous poem and made me cry, because my ex-boyfriend came into my mind. He's all that I think about and he wanted me to forget that basically we dated and become the bestest of friends. It seemed so impossible since my heart always cried out for him. His memories still linger and haunt me while I try to go to sleep at night. People always tells me that I don't know what love is and I haven't quite experienced it yet. How can they dare tell me that? Love isn't based upon certain genders, races, or ages. It's knowing the true definition of what it means. I know how you feel on your last stanza. I don't know how to forget him. I can't throw away notes from him, or pictures we have taken in the past. Sadly, I have them stored in my room. Like you mentioned, the best that I can do is put on my brave face! Bravo! Adding this to my library! :)

Language of the heart penned in touchingly human style.
