An Artist without any paint

An Artist without any paint

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu

She is an artist without any paint
lost her colours
in the wind of unluck
Yet she tries to craft something
though her rough brush would stuck.

And her paintings are beautiful
lovely and charming as a child's dream
she sketched them with her holy hands
gave them a touch of her sweet moonbeam.

Now she is afraid to use her sketch
Cause that might penetrate her torn board
like her stubborn dreams are pierced everyday
as in a butchry, the flesh of innocents get gored

She can see her paintbox being thrashed
Yet she paints the life of many
puts colours in their dreams
still doesn't yearns for love, from any.

No she doesn't need any colours
no sympathy from gods
because she can still craft,
sketch colourless rainbows,against all odds.

She thinks she has lost her imagery
in the shadow of the harsh sunrays
But in her heart she knows
that there is somebody, who for her,prays...

This was an intense read, I liked the first 2 stanzas a lot. I think we all want to create something, we just don't always know what.
