Men were born invincible but...

Men were born invincible but...

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu
"

I wasted a lot of time on this...still nowhere near what I anticipated....anyway I am putting it up..will update it later..someday.

"
Men were born invincible
No spear could kill their spirit
No war could burn them to ash
nothing was sweeter for them, than the sounds of Swords' Bash
Nothing made them prouder than dying for their land
they found glory in blood and sand
No pain could make them scream
No burden could hinder their gait
They could crawl through any stream
Death used to be their women
they wrapped her in arms
with a smile on their face
grabbed her with all her charms
They walked as far as desire willed their feet
No sun could burn their skins
Gods wept on their misery
but then they authored a weapon
the so called love
Love that made them fragile
Something that would tangle and trap them forever
and no body could run away
no matter how much they endeavour.
The addiction of warmth of love
would booze them to death
give them a false strength
would make them weaker with every breath.
this venom would
travel in their veins
And it will just keep killing them every moment...
