I enter as a spark and give a glow Like a silent song, I come and go
As a stretch between two statics I move fondly in all the biotics Flowing in the confined tiny cells I grow them to nature's marvels
I end here and then begin there As a pulse here, as a leaf there I bud and bloom, and I bear fruit I drop a seed, go old and uproot
Somewhere, I pump power in the wings Of all those beautiful flying things I swim in the water using those tiny fins I pounce on paws and catch my victims
I suck sticky juices which they call honey, Nectar or blood, all those words sound funny I beat in the hearts, I suck from the roots I stand erect, I fall down as my end shoots
But in humans, I find a variation My happening brings celebration My resting mourned in congregation "Why is it such a big deal?" I go gaga, An unnecessary gala over nature's saga.
Stop, stop, stop it folks, everywhere it's me Live me with a glee and allow me to fly free.
WOW! WOW! And WOW! This is so imaginatively detailed & vividly described! I am also "ga-ga" over nature, but you've managed to blend so many sensory delights into a tapestry that seems to say: we're all in this together . . . we all have some aspects of these observations, like sweet sticky juices and pouncing on paws to catch our victims. I love the way your message starts out on the molecular level, suggesting that we all start as a cluster of cells & how we turn out can be a variety of miracles! This is superb writing! (((HUGS)))

It is like an approval on this write to me. Yesterday I added a poem "the Life" which I wrote for a ten word contest. But that was just an aspects of today's life. The life is more than that so this one is here. I have to do justice to that beautiful word.
I am so glad that you enjoyed it.
A perceptive poem that has a greater depth than first appears, that opened a new aspect for me that I had never considered before.
Life in all its forms, whether protoplasmic, animal or human, all have a common thread, survive and reproduce. The added dimension in humans is the expense of dying, which has become a business in itself. Your last stanza gave an oblique reference to this.
yes, people sometimes forget, leaving this life is a journey to another...all that sadness...we should celebrate instead...really like the use of near rhyme in this.

Wow! I loved the imagery here! Nature as we know it, and you've defined it beautifully! It's funny how it really breathes in us and we're sometimes too ignorant of its presence.
I loved reading this :)
