Broken Bricks

Broken Bricks

A Poem by Bala Gorthi
"

A saga of broken heart

"

She fondly cherished every inch of it
Treasured those sweet memories every bit
That love, fights, miseries and joys they lived
Precious pearls of memories their ocean shelved

A cyclone of treachery nourished by the selfish
Shattered the pieces of kindred bond to blemish
Jewels of bonds burgled by their motives so petty
Her heart suffered a mighty pain yelling for their pity

The helpless soul watching her kin in a war of greed
Grabbing alluring mundane vanities spoiling the creed
Gathering shattered pieces of heart, so ruthlessly shelled
The poor soul soulfully mourned the loss and her eyes welled

She can never get her sweet home back
It's kind of irremediable agonizing shock

This is an intense & compelling message becuz you write with image-packed word choices and action-packed verbs. I've read a billion end-of-love poems here & yours is very unique & original. I love the way you make this into a palpable whole, the complete story of what end-of-love can mean. It's so much more encompassing than having a broken heart. You've shown us here how a love failure can disrupt everything in a family's lives, with far-reaching difficult results. So well written! (((HUGS)))

You're welcome! It was a pleasure reading your work 😊
Very heart wrenching....The deepest of the relationships often face the worst of the circumstances. Its the way of God to prove their love to the rest of the world...I think.

Powerful and sad situation described.
"The helpless soul watching her kin in a war of greed
Grabbing alluring mundane vanities spoiling the creed
Gathering shattered pieces of heart, so ruthlessly shelled
The poor soul soulfully mourned the loss and her eyes welled"
The above lines make us know. Life can be very hard and very scary. Thank you Bala for sharing the excellent poetry.

Was my pleasure and you are welcome.
Once trust is gone, the house of love tumbles and can not be rebuilt. Families are often torn apart due to treachery and selfishness. It's horribly sad. Memories remain and often they are rosy, but reality reflects the truth. Powerful poetry. Lydi**

A lovely metaphorical write on the aches of a damaged and irreparable relationship.

Some lovely vocabulary and imagery used throughout to illustrate the depths of sorrow and heart ache. Like many people have written before: the heart is a home. And to have it burgled and bludgeoned is a soul shattering experience.

A well written piece, Bala. Broken bricks can always be repaired, and the heart will consolidate and beat once again. Nice work.

Selfishness and greed breaks at the foundation of a home.
People who are meant to be each others strength end up weakening the other.
The result is a broken heart and a broken family.
Very well expressed.

I loved every bit of this lovely heart wrenching saga of a broken heart, B :-). You are my idol when it comes to this kind of poetry. Very sublime and this one speaks to you evoking a reaction from readers .
I can feel the essence of this write. When trust gets broken by the ones whom we love and respect a lot...it breaks our roots...home- this word is one of the beautiful words that we have...A home without family is just a structure made of bricks. Lovely title- broken bricks..signifying a broken family.
As always very very good.
Brilliant :-) :-)
