Tale of tearsA Poem by Bala GorthiMy rolling tears are here to tell We are just human, know this well
My heart here pours When I see agony of yours
My chest bloats with blurring sights When my country girl scales new heights
My soldiers turn martyrs, wearing flagged attires Anger boils with those hot tears, seeing their funeral pyres
Many strong women ridiculed for fighting alone Those unshed lamenting pearls silently atone
Heinous crimes and people’s miseries rush us out Human trafficking and exploitation gush us to bout
Saline everywhere; Saline blood; saline tears Make every living as our dears
But:
How come these pathetic saline tearful feasts Not shaken merchants of crime and ruthless beasts? Hey, predators and monsters don’t you have fears? Don’t you think all are yours?
