You

You

A Poem by Tay

You asked what I loved about you
and I said I didn't know
I love your hair,
I love your eyes
And your crooked little smile
But I could never tell you
I love your arms
And the way you hold me
I love your neck kisses
But I could never tell you
I love your lips
I love your tongue
And your soft words
But I could never tell you.
I love your lips on mine
Your hand in mine
But I could never tell you
I love Layin my head on your chest
Your heart beating with mine
I love your little whispers
The little notes
And 'I love you's'
I love our promises
And dreams
And hope for tomorrow
I love being with you
But I could never tell you.
You asked me what I loved about you
And all I could say was I don't know.
Just know i love you
And every little detail
Like the pout on your face when you don't get your way
The gentle beat of your eyelashes
And after numerous elbows to the face
You still try to hold me
After the fat lips and black eyes
You still say you love me
You asked me what I loved
And I couldn't tell you
I couldn't face the truth
I love everything about you
