Mere Men

Mere Men

A Poem by Ryan Adalem
"

Now who's sexist?

"
We are but men
Men, so weak, lost in our ambitions
Blinded by our own esteem
Finding value in the wrongs we do
Conquer nations
Kill people
Destroy kingdoms
All for the glory of power and pride

Blood hungry hearts, battle-mad vermin
Vanquished by lust and greed
All of stone yet crumbles
Like clay confronted by a woman's smile
Warrior, conqueror, the greatest liability
Is one's most valuable asset
Heart of lead, one's weakness is one's heart itself

... oh ... that's a very powerful poem ... some rather stunning lines there ... though i think men are very interesting ... fascinating actually ... and i don't think women can do without them ... :) ...
