A Poem by baileybennett22

Thoughts
Thoughts cascading
Never-ending cycle

I get this weird, evangelical zeal
Every time I try to reveal
Exactly what it is I feel

My head is an animal
Always fighting to break free
But every time I try
My brain is absentee

Thoughts
Thoughts confined
Endlessly locked away

Do I dare reveal the truth of my reality?
Or just contain my impersonality?

My head is caged, no escaping
Nothing can break free
No amount of re-shaping

The stony expression forged on my face
Has become the accepted demeanor
In my place

No longer a child saying what they desire
Lock away, my thoughts
You’ll never know what conspires

I’m just a kid losing my sanity
Every move I make
Proves my inhumanity

Please try to understand, it isn’t your fault
My mind is just imprisoned, a vault

Nothing to do
Nothing to say
Thoughts cascading
Cascading away…

you wrote a poem about writing and it RHYMES! so good job there.
I want to understand, I want to see inside your prison vault and see the magic you could produce if you could unlock those things caged in your mind!
The last four lines are an excellent end and you brought it back around to the start of thoughts cascading, i love it when people do that, it shows a good sense in them. Keep up the good work, baileybennett22.

I write what I think, cynical and sarcastic commentaries. But... I also write feelings, the very essence of my soul bleeds into these articles. This is for me. Not for you. I write so I can remember .. more..
