"Dangerous"

If your best friend handed you this, what would you do?

The danger, it rises from him.

 

Alarms go off

that she doesn't hear.

The warning is lost,

still he draws near.

 

His evil, it simmers.

 

Hidden behind valor,

looks, charm, and wit.

She doesn't realize

that this could be it.

 

His guilt, it overwhelms.

 

She's young and timid,

her innocence free

to all who would take it,

to those such as he.

 

The monster, it lurks.

 

In the dark of the shadows,

just behind his grin.

It's hungry for hearts

and it always wins.

 

His strength, it is his power.

 

If she would get up

and just walk away,

then he would be beaten,

and not just for today.

 

She would be free,

her heart would be her own.

Let this warning to her

strike the right tone.

Looking back on this, it reminds me of Twilight!

It's always sad to be the one who knows something bad...especially if no one else will believe you. If someone gave me this, I would probably be angry with them, just because I wouldn't want to accept that I was wrong. Afterward, I would be thankful, though. Plus it would be fun to get a poem from someone regardless...

very good poem.
if my best friend gave me this...hmmm...i'd definitely be extra-cautious, but i don't know if i'd break up w/ the guy or not, because sometimes you just have to make your own mistakes, which might not seem to be mistakes at the time.

btw, thanks for your great reviews on one week's notice. i have about five more chapters up of it now...

If my friend handed me this, and in the type of situation you spoke of, I would just be all 'This is a really cool poem, thank you, but you don't understand what's going on' And then that would be the end. Your friend was -not- an idiot, it happens to everyone at least once, you can be considered an idiot after it happens multiple times ^^ you can't blame her for wanting to follow her heart, just once at least.

Anyway, like I said, really cool poem ^^
