"The Rain"

I <3 rain!!!!!!!!

I breathe in the fresh, clean air

that purifies me everywhere.

 

I inhale the sweet, sweet smell

that makes me feel alive and well.

 

I relax and let them in,

a million drops to cleanse my skin.

 

I feel my problems slip away,

set aside for another day.

 

I pretend I'm still a child,

dancing, yelling, and going wild.

 

Rolling thunder applauds me,

I am not scared, for I can see.

 

Bright flashes light up my stage,

as I am released from my cage.

 

I feel so whole and complete,

the sky's lullaby sends me to sleep.

Author's Note

Rain can bring so many different emotions to me, and I tried to capture them all in this piece. Not sure I did such a good job, though.

What ever do you mean, it didn't come out right? You did an awesome job with this! I love the different 'feels' of the effects of rain. I think you brought it out nicely! :)
