Drive

Drive

A Poem by Poe Redd
"

Sam. Whatever.

"

If something drives me

It's the noise in the distance

Laughter in the atmosphere

Sun over the mountains

Drowning in mirror lakes

Drives me back

By spitting empty storms

Saving closer friends

Killing the lost ones

Just in mind

Drives me over even

Tires squeeling, bump!

Birds singing songs

Bloodied black feathers flying

I'm roadkill at heart

Continue to drive me away

As beauty leaves glitter in the dark

Strange but I know where you are

Breathing asleep

Somewhere between

My dreams and the sea

If something drives me

   it's you

      driving me crazy.

Nice, lovely flow of emotions and images to a poem...I loved this expression :
Strange but I know where you are
Breathing asleep
Somewhere between
My dreams and the sea

Easy to be driven crazy with thoughts and desires. I like the examples of sounds and the emotion of missing someone. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poem.
