All The Bad Dreams That AreA Poem by Poe Reddfinally something I'm really happy withOh love! Oh... but he exists not. Better these all-noise biting disasters With egos you can't tear with tooth or nail, And duelists with eyes like death waiting, Outrageous teddy-bears taller than I And false faces glued on like a song, And voices that betray, giggle, smiles, And loves and stops and stabs their friends, and sleeps. . . . They're all children, afterall. Oh, driving the world On top of us, building their castles of glass; Ah, in this starlight late-night autumn, May these lunatics, wretches, hobs o' the hill Come play their lives to earn our screams. Well then, do I ask too much To have, before I fail to make the crest and fall, Such errors removed and replaced with nightmares? © 2011 Poe ReddAuthor's Note
