Inverted Eyes

Inverted Eyes

A Poem by Poe Redd
"

no desc.

"
She noticed me glaring
and sat beside me
Mistake my self-righteous indignation
for silent invitation

Gaea's butterflies
through the rain to sit an idle lie

Dreamless silence
disturbed by the slow ripples
caused by my finger
scratching at the language of her eyes
and marrying the devil
during morning mass

"Look," I wanted to say,
my insides shining through me.

Dead friends preached
exhaling
but failing to inhale
each unrhymed word
pulled with the tendons from the tongue
in a feeding frenzy

The people with inverted eyes
kind and then punished by my crimes

Heads down a heavy prayer
acidic rolls over the dirty floor
(discomfort of nemesis)
grey high eyes cry
all inverted eyes cry
mistake my sickened smile
and in a frenzy feed the sky

Tyhe stanza of rippling waves caused by your fingers... wow.
in this poem you have placed words in a duel and let them play each other out.
in the aftermath you saw the picture they'd fought out... lol yea, whaever:P
thy talent is undoubtedly glorious

I love this! Totally something I understand! I was attempting to write something along these lines the other day. Very well executed
