Chicken Sharks

Chicken Sharks

A Poem by Poe Redd
"

no desc.

"
Under oceans of pillow down
dove-soft
thought bubbles rise higher than
the wits of others.
Desperate thoughts stained
that black red
like sweater sleeves.
Noiseless commotion stirs the sheets
in a whirlpool
of secret pleasures
 gasping
for medicine.
Bright voids in the empire's speech
reasoning
with the dark welts on the arm
outstetched for
someone to grasp and say
"don't."
Chicken sharks
with teeth bared
and clothespins on their noses
fins flapping in the bloodstream.
Hungry
the witless scared of the offered arm.
Ignoring the rain
when it penetrates the surface.
Drowning as they swim
through the fallen
feathers of
their angel's guardians.

Guardians though not obvious, are still there:)
I'll grasp and say don't. Love you, Kay?:)
