Sister, Let Me Explain

Sister, Let Me Explain

A Poem by Poe Redd
"

no desc.

"
Execute the Weak
she said
I knew one once
giddy now
running with the river
bled from her finger
she pointed and behold
a red eye blinks
beneath her skin
it was angry
she said
it was passionate
emotional reflex
execution
of the weak
redemption in her own name
but I think
I saw
a scorched hand
choke hold around her neck
smile was stone
colour of coal
she shared my heart
but has no part in it
shared my tongue
but can't bite it
alone
pray tell me
why the violence
condemnation
of the skin

Chokehold
naive heart
troubled by
the dark side of the moon
myriad pinpricks of light
they do find us
them
round pupil blackhole
not a pool of blood
heavenly bodies
planets only a carcass
we don't hang idols from the stars
purled universe fabric
robe our ribs
not to constrain the breath
to force out our pleas
hardly admitting weakness
in refrain
proud wisdoms of the night
fear not the choke hold
darkening my thoat
hers

but alas it does hurt..

Sisters, they do seem to idolize the older one. Younger siblings do. But What of the consequences?
Nice write, well put.
Be careful
