Lies

Lies

A Poem by Ralphy
"

The Hidden Me

"

Lies

Showers of mist
float before these very eyes,
a dually punishment,
for awe has stuck the nerve
tightly affixed to my heart.

Spoken are the words,
shelved for many years,
for now the truth be known,
that in the absences
of common sense,
a gift of nourishment
has replenished the soul.

To not feel, touch, or harbor
the compassion in my heart,
my fingers and my skin,
for exactly one minute
was pure torture
but it was worth
every suspended second
as the mist continued
to form and shield my eyes.

The wonder before my eyes,
 more precious
than the rarest metal
that clocks the rotation
of this big blue planet
can only be of such great wisdom.

To give my secrets away,
takes courage,
warmth and understand of life…
For you are but a mortal man,
to give your heart and soul to all,
say so much about the understanding
Of me.

 I must ponder this question
that lingers in my mind…
Why do you tell them you have horns…
for the truth be known,
A Bad Boy you are not
