Stolen Sun

Stolen Sun

A Poem by Ralphy
"

Some people loss things precious to them and think their world has ended

"

Stolen Sun

If you took the sun
 from my very world,
darkness would fall suddenly,
and a chill would frost
my words and slow my heart

My eyes would no longer see
the beauty of the flowers
that reflect the precious light
in the many prisms of colors

My finger would no longer bend
as my blood coagulates
like syrup and numbness postulate
while reaching to touch

I could only use my dulled sense
of smell to locate you,
and the brisk flow
that passes by my nose
would lift my spirit;
causing my heart to pump
a little harder

My body would start to warm,
a blanketing warmth
that reaches across the sky,
giving light in form of a sun…
and my eyes once again will begin
to see

It's not what we can get it's what we can live by and that's a little love.
Some people are just to blind to see that. Love is what we should live by.
What we lose is something we can't comfoort in and wallow over it.
The best things in life are free. This is a wonderful write here. Ralphy.
