Never to Say

Never to Say

A Poem by Ralphy

Never to Say

I love being with you through the course of the day

Singing in the rain with a wonderful childish play

To twirl you around along my cupped finger tips

To caress your body as I slowly take you for a dip

To touch your eyes with the twinkle that sparkles in mine

A foregone conclusion, this love is lost in the absence of time

Carefully crafted with the softness of your tender touch

Words could never describe how I love you, so very much

A day without you is like a day without the golden sun

The darkness to hide my tears as they find somewhere to run

But I know, through the thick of the many blossoming trees

I will find you again as your scent drift’s along with the breeze

When I do find you, through the lapse of a ticking watch

My dehydrated lips will signify a need, for they are very parched

As the moisture, flows into the cushions that once were dry

I will fall to my knees a deeply humbled broken guy

The tears return the once lost sparkle to my crystal eye

For my lips mumble, never to say the word goodbye

You write,

When I do find you, through the lapse of a ticking watch
My dehydrated lips will signify a need, for they are very parched

These lines 'open up' a dialectical transition in spatialy, matter, and concern. Each line in your poem assists in the referential plotting. A tenderly written and emotive poem. Sabine*
