The Cloud

The Cloud

A Poem by Ralphy

A cloud migrated over head and blocked my sun

The temperature dropped thirty degrees, my tanning’s done

I thought I was lucky for my skin turned a golden brown

Nevertheless, I do regret, without the sun, I wear a frown

I waited patiently for my nemesis cloud to drift on by

Instead, more and more of these fluffy beasts filled the sky

Darkness has now stripped away the color blue

Leaving an image of grey without a proper hue

A sudden tear splashed along the contours of my cheek

Then another, now this cloud is starting to make me freak

I shook my fist and waved it high in the frigid air

Like that would do any good, it was more like a dare

That grey cloud retaliated and dropped some water stones

Ouch I yelled from the pain caused, when they hit my bones

These stones were loud as they whizzed down to the ground

There were so many of them, they formed an impressive mound

As the air turned white and the north wind started to blow

Came these funny shaped flakes, with a strange nickname called snow

The wind became stronger and the clouds began to move

The temperature increased and the weather started to improve

This convinced me that in the course of any given time

We humans aren’t the only ones that can’t make up their minds

They never make up their minds in Michigan either. It was raining yesterday when I left school so I went out and danced in it like I always do. I love the confused clouds they slow down time and make you pay attention to the here and now...spatially if you are snowed in :) ...great write it truly made my day...

Yes, the weather is very bipolar. Lol. I love the rain... something about it is so calming, and simplistic. I adore spring, and the rain it brings. I love your words. They create the essence of a cloudy day. Pictures in the clouds are always fun :)

Such a melodramatic reaction. XD "Damn you, clouds"! I believe there is a grammar error where it says "fridge". Is that supposed to be "frigid"? Anyway, that cheered me up some. I especially like the end. Good job!
