A lonely Eye

A lonely Eye

A Poem by Ralphy
"

Picturing a place after a storm

"

A lonely Eye

In the ruins of the wind,
I sit and contemplate existence.
The trees lie over,
similar to a mountain
made of cylinders.

What was up now is down,
the birds look endlessly
for the nest
that use to house their young.

The squirrel cries
 in the darkness  of day,
out of hunger
while searching for its
precious food.

All lost in a whisper of a moment.

I think about what life
 has brought and what it
has taken away.

I think about this desolate land,
for the people have disappeared
or do not know of this place.

Awe sure enough, they will be here,
for the stream that supplies
fresh water has no path out.

But will they stay?

Water is a fascinating concept and the Chinese believe it has mystical powers, water is always in a rush but always changing, it has the ability to carve mountains and to nourish the land. Good poem I also have a whole theory on mother nature and natural disasters but I'm gonna shut up now
