My friend is colorblind

My friend is colorblind

A Poem by Ralphy
"

How different friends see me

"

My friend is colorblind

Some see the sleekness of red

like a velvet rose with petals

sweet and soft.

Some see fields of plush green

like a grassy field as a soft

mattress to lay on .

Some see liquid sky blue

like the earthen globe that both

reflects the sky

and the ocean.

Some see citric orange

like the sweet

tangy fruit I love

to nibble.

Some see floral violet

a colorful flower with

a most aromatic scent

that accompanies you

throughout the day.

But, one friend sees me

as translucent

when I ask why

she said,

” one can,

not get any clearer than

to see through another,

and where some might

wear their heart on their sleeves,

you don’t, for they can

see directly into your heart”

All that in a whisper

as the voice drifted down from

the heavens...

But, one friend sees me

when I ask why
she said,

These words right here are so beuatiful, this so wonderful and beuatiful.
I enjoyed this write.

A lovely poem, Ralphy. It reminds me somehow of the autobiography, The Color of Water.

what a lovely write, Ralphy....despite all the colors that one might see and one can be to another, to be able to see straight to your heart, as if transparent, is the best of them all.

this is just beautiful.
