Positively Passion

 

The sun is shining

brightly in the distances,

purity has covered the trees,

bushes, and dormant grass,

sheltering them, giving warmth

where isolation crackles

as the air creeps,

like walking on fragile glass.

 

The flowers suspense

delayed by that frightful

little hog in his paranoid state.

 A moment to reflect,

it’s Valentine’s day.

 

With the chill spreading

discomfort and displeasure,

her hand closes the lower

slats of the venetian blinds

giving the illusion

of a balmy day,

and out of impulse,

she drapes the rosy silk

sheets around our nude

bodies like a cocoon

made for two.

 

As the passions

materializes in the mosaic

of the music,

the softly stimulating

beat, disables the words,

leaving just the feeling

of a cool river

in residue of the heat

that was running through

my soul.

 

The sun

closes our eyes.

and our hearts begin

to slow, 

bonding us in a single,

glorious, exhaling breathe.
