My Snow(wo)manA Poem by RalphyCaught in the fabric of bending time
Today is the day,
to make a snowwoman
I’m just not into those
ancient old snowmen
It won’t be easy
but it sure will be fun
rolling that snowball
against the sun
I want to go
to the dance tonight
with my new found friend,
my frosty sight.
Some dimension
must change
and carving too
so she can wear
some open toe shoes
Some half moons added
to her derriere
sanding and shaping
so she’s perfect there.
Got to give her
what she deserves
you know,
those perfect curves.
Now to decide
on her frontal lobes
round and shapely
like snow globes.
Add the nose and mouth
ears and hair
arms and fingers
proportionally fair.
I think my neighbors
are starting to stare
just leave me alone
that’s really not fair.
Off in the distance
I hear the police
these people have gone
and called the heat
I got to work fast
I know I can
Just got to believe
In this woman.
Her icy skin
it feels so cold
like the arctic wind
at the north pole.
Many have said
I have fingers of magic
so I rubbed and rubbed
until her cold vanished
She has come to life
I knew I was dreaming
but what a site
my smile was beaming.
I dressed her well
as the people came
to see this wonder
out of frozen rain.
Me in my tux
and her in a dress
the moonlit sky
we danced our best
the trees began to sing
and the breeze whispered softly
this frozen fling
with Ms frosty
Dancing along
the milky ground
our thoughts to ourselves
imagining bells.
The moment to kiss
the urge was felt
we met at the lips
and I began to melt
the last thing I remember
was her sweet, sweet smile
as I laid there
in that cold, snowy pile.
with a frozen glare
covering my face...
happy as can be
with this thundering escape.
