Shackled

Shackled

A Poem by Ralphy
"

Just a thought

"

Shackled

Oh please tell me

what’s my crime?

What did I do so wrong,

that I’m shackled?

The most precious things

in life are free, but so far away

I can’t seem to get there

and life’s, oh so short…

Oh, please remove these chains…

I want to fly like the eagle

Soar through the clouds

Feel the breeze through my feathers

But I can’t…

As I fly up, these chains

Keep pulling me down,

all I ask is why?

Why can’t I…

see all the beautiful

places that surround me?

I want to float free

but I can’t

cause I’m shackled

with no reasoning, why…

Shackled

These are very realistic thoughts to some of us. In my opinion, some
of us are the ones that hold ourselves back.

We all want to be free, to flow, but being afraid to let go sometimes
holds us back.

You are a deep and insightful writer...AD

I feel the same.

So much potential, but so much limitations.

You have tapped well into a strong human condition.

Job, from the Bible asked the same question. Hence, the name Job for work.

Life isn't easy; that's for sure.

Great write, Ralphy.
