Treasure

Treasure

A Poem by Ralphy
"

World Peace

"

Treasure

The treasure before you
is not the one that lies
in wait at the bottom
of the ocean,
in a faded chest
full of gold and silver.

Nor is it diamonds,
sparkling deep
in the darkest Cave,
somewhere in Africa.

No, a wealth of knowledge
glitters to inspirer life,
bond to it,
never to control.

The riches rewards
are the children,
no matter their faith,
color or ethnicity
as they bring us closer
to the God
we need to know.

:D I really enjoyed this. The first stanza is breath taking:
"The treasure before you
is not the one that lies
in wait at the bottom
of the ocean,
in a faded chest
full of gold and silver."- Absolutely beautiful! and blunt!

It reminds me of someone else I know and he'd do well by reading this piece! :D

Nice work

I really like how you put this together. We're alwyas so worried about the material treasures and yet we've forgotten what's really important. Very well written I really like this. I also like how you said that all the children were treasures no matter what their differences are. Very beautiful.
Nice work!
