Magnanimous

Magnanimous

A Poem by Ralphy
"

All we see is what we want or visual in the foreground...sometime stepping back is the answer

"

Magnanimous

When glancing at a portrait of the ocean,
do you see each ripple
that produces the wave
as it splashes on the shore,
and then slip into trance and dream.
How about the seagulls
that encircle the surf
as their food allures them,
do you see that.
Maybe you noticed the glaze
from the sun as it creeps
along the surface
warming each drop of water,
then delivering a vast
bluish-green appeal to the eye.
Even the white puffy clouds
filled with imagination,
streaks across the sky
adding more depth
to this work of art;
however, how much do you see?

I like the concept here, really seeing and appreciating all that is truly beautiful in life as we become one with nature, for it truly is a work of art, the greatest masterpiece of all.

I think most of us do appreciate nature, knowing that it is our release from life's mundane responsibilities. From my perspective, it becomes an escape, a way to relieve anxiety, the water, the forest..the animals... all have such a calming allure.

This is lovely Ralphy, the images you create have just made me want to go outdoors. Have you ever gone into the woods alone and just stood and listened? It's truly enchanting.

Oh, and the water...

Thanks for this my friend. You have really made me smile today :-)

wow.

really. It is wow, realizing that there is more than we we are truly looking at, and how each plays a part in a bigger picture, to the very minute detail.

As always, your fundamentals are excellent.

A wonderful piece.

Every detail that catches my eye, of course. We see what we want to see.. because that's all there is. ;)

Excellent. Take a step back and look again, but from another perspective.
Love it.

Wonderful imagery! My favorite place... the ocean... ahhh.

Very nice!!

Lovely, Ralphy. It is so true = we need to step back and get a full visual, or perhaps just look at something from another angle for another perspective.

I step back and can see the wonderous beauty and life in nature and all around me. Your poem is very descriptive and quite good. Yes, I do notice the glaze of the sun on the surface of the water. It shimmers and glows and has a way of calling to you. I love the water and use every spare moment to be by the river, basking in it's glory. Good work!

What a fine description: In those words I could see it all! I love the sea, the beach, its air and sounds, its colours.

' ... and then slip into trance and dream. ' Whether you mean the rippling or the viewer, not sure.. maybe both. I can sit or stand and watch and watch .. oblivious to everything else, noticing what you've written.

' Maybe you noticed the glaze from the sun as it creeps along the surf' - yes!

Thank you for sharing
