Snow Globe

Snow Globe

A Poem by Ralphy
"

My vision as looking towards the sky

"

Snow Globe

To watch the clouds form above
Pillowing outward engulfing the doves
Symmetrically dancing figurines
Put on a show with hidden scenes
White and gray abstracts drift
As the cold meets, the hot gives lift
Flashes of light jolt space and time
Collapsing walls spin on a silver dime

Ear piercing sounds rattle the brain
While watching the globe flip upside down in vain
The temperature becomes a stiffing cold
The snow begins as the wind takes its toll
A purity of white blanks the air
As these crystal flakes collect along the tear
A sudden flash ignites the sky
The globe begins to roll to the other side
Flakes begin to rush towards the end
Visibility is lost for a moment in the raging wind

 A child lifts its tongue
To catch a single rare yum
The sun returns to warm the air
The wind recedes to that of a teddy bear

To watch the clouds form above
To share the spices laced with love
To see this vision through eyes of old
Praises to all; thankfully we are not in a fish bowl.

Ralphy,
this is wonderful!
The picture you've painted
with your words is just beautiful!

I particulary like the cloud imagery...

"Pillowing outward engulfing the doves
Symmetrically dancing figurines
Put on a show with hidden scenes
White and gray abstracts drift"

Awesome!
I love watching the clouds..
I think they're incredible actually,
the images you can find in them..
are sometimes down right goosebumpish...lol

Or when watching them from
an airplane...
they look so, pillowish! :)

The entire piece is fantastic!
I just love reading your work my friend ... :)

Outstanding.

hey, congrats on winning honorable mention on the contest. I can see why you won. It's wonderful!! I sp like the end when you say,

"To see this vision through eyes of oldPraises to all; thankfully we are not in a fish bowl." That ties the whole poem together, because at first I wasn't sure where it was heading. Because when you think about it, the world is beautiful. and this poem shows to appreciate it, and find majesty in the simple things.

great work ralphy. great work.

To watch the wonder of mother nature are magnificent but can make us feel so small but that helps keep us humble... you poem is a fantastic look at the beauty the world has to offer us... brilliantly penned.
