Lie before you say goodbye

Lie before you say goodbye

A Poem by AlyssaAbomination

I don't care if it's all a lie,

I just need something to get me by.

A chance to get away from it all,

And you to be there to catch me as I fall.

Make it hurt, so I know it's real,

So it's not a dream and I'll remember how I feel.

I know you have to go soon,

But would you take the chance to dance under the moon?

Say I'm pretty, tell me I'm kind,

I don't care what but let's just pass time.

I know we'll just drift apart,

But you'll always be in my heart.

Started with a smile,

Went on for miles,

Please tell it to stay for awhile?

I need you here,

Right beside me dear.

It's nearing dawn,

And soon you'll be gone.

Hold me close,

Because you're my only dose

Of what I really need.

Inside I'll bleed,

But if that's what makes you happy,

I guess I should be too.

As you say goodbye

Just remember to lie,

And say I'll miss you too.
