The Witches Dance

The Witches Dance

A Poem by Zoey Ree
"

A fun, yet dark poem focused around the popular witches' legend.

"

The night is young time to come out and play,

Dark laughter roaming on smoky air

Cackling brew the spell for today,

Come out, come out, partake if you dare

Demons are dancing in glee as they wait,

Cold breath lingering among the oaks

Devilish plans grow stronger with hate,

Come out, come out, before the clock strokes

Whirling incantations sacrifice them all!

Earth, wind, and fire...destroy this town

It's time to take over, having a ball

Time is trickling, sands running down.

In a sense dark... but more it leaves a feeling of childlike play behind.
