A Poem by Alesko
"

...and love

"
We must behead the doubts
of the wailing crowds.
We must crucify ignorance;
have equality crowned.

We must banish arrogance
in the spiteful youth.
We must incinerate greed;
heal ancient wounds.

We must praise unity;
welcome serenity.
We must embrace the melody;
come to clarity.

We must help our children,
our final hope.
We must teach compassion;
or eternally
in darkness grope...

I absolutely love the first two verses:
We must behead the doubts
of the wailing crowds.
We must crucify ignorance;
have equality crowned.

We must banish arrogance
in the spiteful youth.
We must incinerate greed;
heal ancient wounds.

They express true, vivid emotion on how cruel the world can be and how we should stand up for what is right. You tapped into the pure meaning of love and hate perfectly. My soul was filled with the purpose. Well done. Thank you for sharing and please return the favor by reviewing one of my pieces.
