In Your Arms

Originally written for one of my fanfics, but I liked it on its own as well. Except the last stanza. That absolutely ties in with the story.

 

In your arms

There's nowhere I'd rather be

You've entranced me with your charms

My heart aches for you endlessly

 

It was not my choice

To fall in love with you

Bur I still rejoice

When it's your eyes I fall into

 

Maybe you have noticed

Maybe you have not

Maybe I am biased

But I'm actually pretty hot

 

That last dance we shared

Made my life almost complete

But then how I despaired

When you started to retreat

 

From this I expect nothing

But I'm done with all these lies

It's for you my being is aching

As you would see if you opened your eyes

 

Please give me a chance

All I ask for is just one

My life is lacking in romance

But this is not just for fun

 

Perchance you might find

When you fall asleep

That I am on your mind

And you are in too deep

 

You told me that I was not your love

Shattered all my dreams

I gave you a heartbreaking shove

While falling apart at the seams

 

This is my last try

To tell you how I feel

And there will be no eye that's dry

And now I 'm done with this ordeal
