Pretty

Pretty

A Poem by Pen The Willows

Pretty

Such

An

Ideal

Term

Strived for:

Pretty

To be

Thin,

Tall

Blonde and Blue-eyed

But

Can

A

Way With Words

Be

Pretty?

Can

A

Flick

Of

The

Tongue

A

Taste

Of

An

Adjective

Words

Twisting,

Turning,

Making

An

Image

Can

It

Be

Described

As

Pretty?

Have you ever

Seen a girl

Strive for a

Way with words?

No

Because

It is not

Considered pretty

Let me not

Be considered

Pretty

Then

I would choose

Brains over

Beauty

Any day

I enjoy this writing style and unique flow in this piece. It captures what so many struggle through in our personal ways, yet it extenuates the true values of life which go well beyond physical beauty. I love the ending as the message speaks loudly and sends a great message. A nice concise written piece with an even better message and mindset that I wish more people shared. Well done!

Terrific piece!!!!!! Pretty is a word that is all to often used but still in desperate need of redefining. Well done indeed...
