![]() The Mortal InstrumentsA Poem by Pen The Willows![]() A poem inspired by The Mortal Instruments trilogy.![]() There once was a boy Who lived in a frozen world And he loved few Only those who raised him One day, The boy met A girl Who lit his world on fire The boy Fell in Love With the girl The girl Fell in Love With the boy But then came That fateful day When they discovered Their lives had been a lie The boy and The girl Found out That they were siblings Their father Was an evil man Who was trying To take over the world And so The boy and The girl Lived But they were Never happy Because they were in Love But their Love Was Forbidden ‘Incest’ Their Love Was called And so The boy and The girl Hid their feelings And so The girl Started to Date And the boy, The girl’s brother, Felt like his heart was being torn out Every time he saw his sister and her boyfriend Because he was Still in Love With his sister And so The girl Felt her heart ache Every time her brother kissed another girl Because she was Still in Love With her brother Because the boy and The girl Had once been in Love Every time the boy and The girl Saw each other They felt their old passion flair Until The boy Couldn’t stand it Any longer And he Kissed The girl, His sister And The girl Kissed Him back And then the boy and The girl Discovered that their father had Once experimented on them He gave The boy Some Demon blood And he gave The girl The blood Of an angel The boy Felt Evil And hateful The girl Discouraged The boy From thinking these thoughts And The boy Stopped speaking the thoughts Aloud But The boy Still Thought them Finally came The day where the boy and The girl Had to fight their father And the boy and The girl Were told That they were not really brother and sister They Were So Happy They Were Still in Love They Killed Their ‘Father’ For the Good Of the World And the boy and The girl Could finally Be together © 2010 Pen The Willows
