Stage

Stage

A Poem by Pen The Willows

The world is a stage
Half of me just a player
By day I play
By night I fade

I
Am
Forlorn
Forgotten

I
Put
On a
Mask

And
Become
Someone
New

A
Disguise
A
Role

Something
That's
Not
Me

My whole
Life
Is
Cast

Actors
Who aren't
What they
Seem

Replacing the
Script
With their
Own words

Soon
I will
Break
Free

While I love the subject of this piece, I must admit I wasn't thrilled with the format. It almost seemed as though you were searching for a different style to play with, but that you form you are most comfortable with kept creeping up on you.

Why do you change style? I'd say keep the sparse stanzas the whole way through.

LOVE IT. Awesome. My favorite part:

Replacing the
Script
With their
Own words

Keep it up :)
