Chains

Chains

A Poem by Pen The Willows

I
Live
In
Chains

My
Life is
Laid out
Before me

As if
I was
A
Barbie doll

A fence
Around
My
Heart

I'm
Cold
As
Ice

Wouldn't
It
Be
Nice

If
I
Could be
Myself?

But
I'm
Not
Allowed

I
Must
Fit
In

Package
Me
In a
Box

But
I'm
Not that
Flexible

Take
Me
As
I am

Or
Leave me
To
Myself
