Happy BirthdayA Poem by Pen The WillowsMy birthday poem (another poem about her!) for my ex-best friend, Isabelle. The deadly sin of wrath.
I hope you’ll have
A happy birthday
Filled with present galore
I hope you’ll feel
No regret
And certainly
No remorse
You’ll be thirteen
A full-fledged teen
You’ll change a lot
But one thing that’ll
Never change
Is that you’re mean and an inkblot (on my life)
Three years I’ve known you
For the last two
We were declared BFFs
But I guess you love the spotlight
Too much
To show me the steps
I’m sorry
I regret my actions
I apologize
But you
Should too
I shouldn’t have done it
It was stupid
But we will never be BFFs
Again
Then again, we never were
So have a
Nice life
Without me
If you want
Or we can make-up
But our friendship
Will never be the same
