Once Upon a Time...There was Love in My Life

Im hurting so badly, I didn't know heartbreak could hurt so damn much

I prayed today.

Maybe someone heard my cries?

My begging for the answer to why?

There’s a longing in my heart

To know the truth…

To have a closure

But that’s it.

We’re done.

We’re through.

Life delt us a hand…

I told u I was unlucky

We got split cards

Then life just took me.

“Dear Lord…” I prayed,

“I play Russian roulette every day…

Pulling the trigger hoping a new day will result in less pain.

                                I’m still here but I’m losing the game..

Once upon a Time there was love in My Life

Now there’s Only Love in The Dark

Bonnie, you speak to my heart…

I wish someone would just hold me and tell me it’ll be okay

I want to cry it all out

I want to tell someone the whole story

…but no one’s been there for me

I could disappear

…and who would shed a tear?

We were alone together in this world…

And now suddenly it’s just me that looks back in the mirror

And I thought I had you forever…

I think of what we had this time last year

And I find myself praying

“Lord, I’ll give up anything…”

I can’t do this anymore alone

I want to die when I think of him in the cell

And what we had and how it fell apart

There’s an emptiness that I can’t fill

…a hurt that I can’t explain

“Lord, please help me with my pain…”

I’m angry all the time

All I want to do is cry

I need help.

I need a friend who will listen

I need a mother who will care

I need a father who was there

“I needed him to love me, Lord.”

I need someone who will be there

“Please, will you care?

Don’t let me disappear…

I really need you tonight,

forever’s gunna start tonight

Once upon a time there was love in my life…
